    Emelina Belle is an AAMFT Clinical Fellow American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy and an expert in couples relationships who is dedicated to providing couples with a multidisciplinary approach based on empirical research and cutting-edge interventions that provide insight, growth, and transformation in couples’ relationships. She is a Board-Certified California Licensed Marriage & Family Therapist, Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, Couple Relationship Specialist, Gottman Method Couples Therapy Level 3, Gottman Seven Principles for Making Marriage Work Leader, Gottman Bringing Baby Home, Gottman Couples and Addiction Recovery, Gottman Affairs and Trauma, Emotionally Focused Therapy, EMDR, and Certified Clinical Trauma Professional.

    She works in her private practice in Newport Beach providing psychotherapy to couples that are searching to establish authentic healthy relationships. She provides a safe, inclusive space that is non-judgmental, non-shaming and non-blaming where each partner can express their concerns and issues within their relationship. She provides restoration for couple’s emotional connection, challenges with sexual intimacy, navigates differences with interracial, intercultural, and interethnic issues, improves effective communication, address men’s and women’s sexual dysfunctions, mismatched sexual desires, recover from sexual betrayal, repair infidelity, and restore trust, and management of conflict. Couples that collaborate can work towards establishing a closer, intimate, and satisfying relationship. She embraces a client-centered holistic approach with respect for clients of diverse multicultural backgrounds for supporting essential mental health and well-being.

    She received a bachelor’s degree in Liberal Studies, Psychology minor, Mount St. Mary’s University. My first master’s degree in Leadership Studies, Specialization Organizational Consulting, and The Executive Leadership Coaching Certification, University of San Diego, School of Leadership & Education Sciences. I received The Leadership Circle Profile 360 & Leadership Circle Profile Managers Edition 360 Certification, by the International Coach Federation. A top-tier global Universal Model of Leadership and systemic approach for effective leadership development, executive coaching, and consulting.

    She received the second master’s degree in Marriage & Family Therapy, California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University, the graduate program with elite accreditation by the Commission on Accreditation for Marriage & Family Therapy Education (COAMFTE) with imminent faculty, industry luminaries, and distinguished thought leaders.

    She is a Doctor of Psychology Marriage & Family Therapy, PsyD Candidate, California School of Professional Psychology, Alliant International University, (COAMFTE) accreditation expected in 2022. Her doctoral dissertation research focuses on interracial, intercultural, and interethnic couples: Modern Love Stories: A Narrative Inquiry of Interracial Couples providing research about romantic love, couples’ connections, and what makes meaningful and fulfilling for interracial couples’ relationships.

    She is a Board Certified Clinical Sexologist, American Board of Sexology, and Ph.D. Doctor of Philosophy Clinical Sexology Candidate, The Modern Sex Therapy Institutes, Advanced Mental Health Training Institute (AMHTI) – expected 2024. The program approaches the emergent innovative emergent field of sexual medicine with a multidisciplinary approach integrating core principles of sex therapy, cognitive-behavioral, psychodynamic, and family systems theory for the enhancement of sexual well-being and the development of healthy relationships.

    She has completed the Clinical Sexology, PhD comprehensive program involving 150+ CE of human sexuality core knowledge, clinical supervision, and the SAR Sexuality Attitude Reassessment providing comprehensive psychotherapy specializing in sex therapy for a variety of sexual intimacy concerns and dysfunctions.

    She is an American Association of Marriage & Family Therapy AAMFT Supervisor Marriage & Family Therapy Candidate Approved Training Program. She has completed the Fundamentals of Supervision 30 hours providing clinical practicum supervision of trainees and associates and provides mentorship.

    Her clients are high-functioning and non-acute, committed to the process of therapy, and motivated to collaborate on goals to create the structure for effective treatment plans. Therapy progress involves healthy behavioral changes that lead to healing, change, and growth to reach your highest possibility and live your most extraordinary life. She applies a synthesis of multiple theoretical approaches and evidence-based empirical research of attachment theory, neuroscience, cognitive-behavioral, and systemic principles, to establish the connection between thoughts and feelings and physical sensations. I am continually attending post-graduate and doctoral training to learn about cutting-edge scientific research and evidence-based interventions.

    She has extensive professional experience and advanced clinical training including, Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II), Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Gottman Method Couples Therapy (GMCT), American Association Sexuality, Educators, Counselors and Therapists (AASECT) Sex Core Knowledge Areas (CKA), Eye Movement Desensitization Therapy (EMDR), and Sex Therapy.

    She collaborates with clients to establish an individual and personalized treatment plan to meet their goals and outcomes with each person or couple. She works supports the client to enhance their strengths through the course of therapy. She is passionate about guiding individuals and couples to healing and recovery from personal and intergenerational trauma, creating connections in relationships, establishing effective communication, improving intimacy and sexuality, and validating everyone’s expression of themselves and promoting a couple’s well-being.
